Professional and efficient central heating repair. Alex was able to visit in a very reasonable timeframe. He immediately identified a faulty thermostat wireless router as the reason the central heating was not functioning. He was able to fit a replacement better quality thermostat during the same appointment. The system now works perfectly and my tenants are happy to have central heating again. Asked Alex to install a new boiler after the old one was condemned. Alex worked very efficiently and overcame a couple of difficult installation issues to do with positioning the boiler. His charges were very reasonable and have asked him back a couple of times to fix other issues.

Alex came and fixed a leak in one of our cast iron radiators. The repair had been previously botched by another plumber and we were getting quite desperate. Alex took the time to contact the radiator manufacturer and get all the instructions/details he needed before starting the work. He really understood and appreciated the beauty of the cast iron radiator!! The work was carried out quickly, thoroughly and with the utmost professionalism. I can't recommend him enough!

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Alex earlier this year while buying our first home. Our surveyor and solicitor strongly advised us to conduct a gas safety check—and we’re so glad we did! From the outset, Alex was fantastic. He responded promptly to our initial email, coordinated directly with the estate agent and seller, and arranged to visit the property later that week. The entire process with Alex was seamless and professional. During his inspection, he identified a minor gas leak—a discovery that might have gone unnoticed without his thorough checks! Thankfully, the issue was resolved, and Alex provided a detailed gas safety report via email. He even took the time to patiently answer all of my questions over the phone. The property also had two boilers working on separate systems, and Alex went above and beyond by advising us on the costs and options for linking or optimising the systems. A few weeks later, as we prepare to exchange contracts, we’ve already booked Alex to return and replace our new oven hob—on which he also gave us excellent advice regarding make and model. We would wholeheartedly recommend Alex to anyone in Epping and the surrounding areas looking for a knowledgeable, reliable, and friendly gas engineer. He truly made a potentially stressful process much easier for us!

Alex has done a couple of jobs for me over the years. Firstly, he installed a new boiler and set up my Nest system. Most recently he fixed a technical issue with my Google Nest thermostat. Alex is friendly, reliable and always makes sure he does a complete and professional job to the absolute highest standard. Alex may not be the cheapest but his prices are reasonable and you definitely get your money's worth. I couldn't recommend him more highly!

I can't recommend Lawson Heating highly enough. We had an issue with our boiler not responding to Hive commands which meant it was constantly on. I called Alex at lunchtime and the issue was resolved by 4pm that day. Alex is friendly, highly professional, extremely knowledgable about his trade and competitive on price.
